## The other meter

AIMS cover years after 2004 are written as cyclone, COTS, bleach (Yasi 2011 central floor; 2016–17 bleach; 2022 regional highs; 2024 bleach). De’ath 2012 split of the 50% has no fishing column. Gillnets are a dugong/turtle meter. Acropora is a storm/starfish/heat meter.

## What this file does not do

It does not file “open the green zones.” It files “protect the Reef” via a sixfold no-take as if fishing were the cover driver.
