Victoria will enter a "short, sharp circuit-breaker" lockdown for five days
Mr Andrews said the five-day shutdown was announced on public health advice to avoid a longer lockdown in the future.

Confirms Melbourne’s cumulative stay-at-home total as 262 days (six lockdowns). Longest single stretch 111 days. “World’s most locked-down” is contested (Iquique, Chile, 287). The 262 is the Victorian meter.
