How a receipt works

If you cannot open the source, and you cannot open the file, it is not in the hall. Humour is allowed. Invented quotes are not.

The four fields that matter

1. Claim — quoted, or marked as a paraphrase. One accusation per card.
2. Source — the original public URL and its date. A quote-tweet of a screenshot is not original enough.
3. Evidence — a capture committed under evidence/ in github.com/coldix/cantexplain. The immutable timestamp is the git commit, not a date we typed.
4. Caption — one or two observational sentences. If it still works after you delete the source, it was a dunk. We spike dunks.

Git as the clock

Screenshots can be edited. Headlines can move. A file in this repository has an author, a hash, and a time. We do not rewrite a capture in place to make it tidier — we add another file and say so. Archive.org links are a spare key, not the lock.

What gets in

Low evidence, high emotion. The tell is usually the missing step: control asserted without a mechanism, guilt by a nearby name, certainty with the footnote still “to come”. Launch themes are Hanson Derangement Syndrome, “Gina’s Puppet”, and “No Evidence Required”. The hall is open to any figure who attracts the same shape of claim.

What does not

• Ordinary disagreement with a sourced argument.
• A second smear offered as a “receipt”.
• Private messages, hacked mail, or anything we cannot show you.
• AI-only publication. Models may draft. A human opens the URL.
