Year 9 elaborations (later band) invite discussion of why “invasion”, “colonisation” and “settlement” remain contested. Year 4’s content description does not.

What this file does not do
It does not file “there was no frontier conflict” or “Mabo was a fiction.” It files “invasion” as Year 4 essential knowledge against the same curriculum’s later concession that the word is contested.
