Everything possible

Everything possible. Safe from this virus. The trial never wrote that sentence.

By vaccinating their children against COVID-19 they have done everything possible to keep their child safe from this virus.

Quoted in source: “by vaccinating their children against COVID-19 they have done everything possible to keep their child safe from this virus”

Greg Hunt, 10 December 2021, joint release with the Prime Minister: ATAGI has ticked 5-to-11s. Parents who vaccinate “have done everything possible to keep their child safe from this virus.” Also: it will “help prevent children passing the virus on” to siblings, grandparents, the wider community.

This card files that guarantee. It does not file “skip the jab.”

What did have a receipt:

  • TGA, January: the 95 was symptomatic disease, original strain. Transmission unclear. Asymptomatic not tested. Duration unclear.
  • “Everything possible” and “safe from this virus” are a force field. A two-dose course was a risk reduction against severe disease. It was not a sealed room.
  • The 5–11 rollout opened in January 2022, into Omicron. School-age infection among the vaccinated was not a rumour. It was the season.

Grammar: everything, safe, this virus. Logic: a trial endpoint is not a childhood immunity. Rhetoric: reassure all parents.
